Cautions: Maut tighten the clutch clockwise to the end prior to pull. 1. The pull will be too low and you not be able to pull the boat. The machine will make a sound like the gear has stripped. 2. The boat winch will periodically stop working. 3. The cable will not be locked and the wire could spool out. 4. The winch could pull for a few seconds and then stop working.
Important: If you find that you have run into one of this problems listed above caused by non-tightened clutch. Do Not pull your boat directly after tightening the clutch. After you tighten the clutch, first spool the cable all the way in to release the tension, then you can resume normal use of the winch, if this is not done.
